The bird of paradise tree is blooming it's head off and echinacea has a lot more blooms.
The last pic is my Rhudbeckia maxima. I thought it was a Fall bloomer, but apparently not!

It's actually a desert bird of paradise, (gotta love common names!).
It's forming seed pods if anyone is interested.

Our rudbeckia maxima also blooms in summer. Grabbing the seeds now else they will be all over the place. The deer leave these all ones alone.
