Indoor woody rosemary

Waterford, NY(Zone 5b)

My rosemary plant is about a month and a half old and doesn't appear to be growing that much. Should I be clipping pieces to stimulate new growth? It still seems to small to pinch from it.

My rosemarys have never grown that fast. Give it more time.

Mine grow the fastest tween March and July when outside. Indoors mine do more stalling. I only trim back once a year- end of Feb- but pinch when I use it for cooking. Do you know what kind it is? There are several different varieties...

I'm looking for the kind that grows into a bush. Does anyone know what variety that is? I used to have one that was about 3 foot high and 3 foot wide. Then I broke the main stem at ground level (it was about 3 inches diameter like a trunk) I really want to get another that can take Florida heat and is not overly tender when we get our brief frosts.

Here is a site posting the different sizes with rosemary.

Thank you so much for the link! I use the long stems as shish kabob sticks too!

Those that do best shish kabobs are Tuscan blue...yummm. Spice Island, too
