Mass death of Heuchera 'Caramel'

I have grown this heuchera for many years both in the ground and in pots. It was always one of my best and most robust performers, reliably coming back every spring. However, this year every single plant died. I grow over a dozen different cultivars and no other variety suffered this fate. Did anyove else experience this phenonmenom?
