I planted this from seed at least three seasons ago.
It has not bloomed. It's got beautiful foliage, but not worth the expanse of thorns if it won't thrive here. What's the deal? I'm considering removing it.
Thanks.

Cherokee Bean in North Carolina?
Is it in full sun?
You are a bit north of its natural range, and inland instead of coastal. Agree with Muddy1's query as to exposure. Would think that full sun might be required for your location.
Yes, she's in full sun.
Maybe you could try fertilizing it with something to promote blooming this year, then toss it next year if it doesn't flower.
Does it die back to the ground where you are? this could delay it getting to flowering size if you don't have enough warm growing season for it. Also, be advised that the seeds are poisonous.

Ive read it is A spring bloomer, so yes, the fact that she dies to the ground and does not surface till May gives me pause.
O well...
