Buddleia leaves are cupping

St. Simon's Island, GA(Zone 9a)

My Buddleia leaves are cupping, no insect that I can see, and all of the newer leaves seem to be doing it. Regular water, and buds are coming. ??? I saw a customer with this same problem on an Angels Trumpet last week, and thought it might be nutritional in her case, but we both have fertilized with a time release about 6 weeks ago. Any thoughts?

Your pictures are upside down.
I think if that abnormal growth as being caused by aphids. How are they doing now?

Well, I thought some sort of insect, but I don't see anything. No webbing, no poop, no nothing. I had someone come into them garden center where I work with Angel's Trumpet leaves doing the same thing. No insect activity there either. Still cupped, and now they almost look like beans, they are so folded. Pictures to follow.

Browning leaves, and still cupped. Blooms are coming out.

Spider mites might do that and they are teeny tiny and might require a magnifying glass to see. Try a systemic insecticide.
