Bird footprint

Vilnius, Lithuania

Hi! I was walking in Lithuania(in Europe) and found this birds footprint. It was located in a field near a forest and a small river after rain. At first I thought it was a turkey's footprint, however there are no turkeys in Lithuania therefore my next guess was common pheasant. I'm not sure, so please help me identify it! Thank you! :)

That's a really interesting ID request.

I'm sure there are others that will be able to help you, but I found a couple of websites that you might find useful. One has lots of pictures of bird tracks plus tabs that will get you to different info. The other gives info on foot sizes for different birds.

Good luck and thanks for posting the picture.
