Hello,
Last year Tree Peony had purple double blossoms on it. Picture of health. This year the leaves seem fine, but the buds ( all 10 of them) are hard and only showed stamens through a little opening. The only petals were the 5 protective green petals. Not a single purple petal at all. Have you heard of this happening and why?
