CLOSED: A Juvie Starling? With RED eyes.

Aurora, CO(Zone 4a)

This guy stood out from the crowd with his orange breast and speckled wings and demonic eyes! He was so quick, I only got a couple of shots that were in focus. Somebody please help me ID this bird? I know the eyes can't be seen in the third photo, but rump details sometimes help.

Yep! I ran across a photo in my little Colorado bird book. Great looking bird. I feel lucky to have caught him with a photo. Thanks for your help!

Nice shots, wingwoman!

Here's a link to one of my favorite bird sites to give you more info about your Towhee and lots of pics as well.

Silly me! Maybe I was out in the sun too long looking at birds?

Oh - I already had it. The Cornell is my go-to website for additional information. Thanks so much.
