I can clip and root all the leaf stems, but that will leave two stalks. If I clip these stalks, will the base plant die?
What can I do with a leggy begonia?
Yes you can cut it close to the ground. For insurance, leave a node or two above ground which should send up new shoots from the node(s) but it should also send some new shoots up from the ground.
I'd suggest getting it outside for summer - start out in shade and over a week or two start moving it to a sunnier locale. It will make a huge difference in a few weeks.
Thanks! I will try it!
