Every year the birds get my Mahonia (Oregon) grapes. They are still there and hopefully I can get some to taste and make jelly.

It is fun watching them eat the 'grapes' though. If you are set on making jam from them, put some netting around your plant.
Yes, I had decided today that I needed to put a net on them. The plant has great medicinal qualities.
