Blue Glitter Sea Holly

also known as Eryngium planum. I started these on 1/13 and have been fighting Aphids all along. Will I be fighting aphids forever? The plants will be going out in a few weeks and I am hoping that helps. I have never grown this perennial and was wondering if this will be a constant battle.

I have some out in the garden-never seen any aphid or other pests, so hopefully they will be OK when out in the sun.

Get yourself some ladybugs and then give them a couple of days.

Good to know that when they go out into the garden they should be fine. I saw them last summer on a garden tour and just had to have them.

Right now I am squishing the aphids with my fingers. They sure multiply fast.

Thanks for the info.

They sure do. Somehow, I got some on my tomato seedlings. I was suppose to give some away, now I can't. I bought some coconut coir and I'm wondering if they came in with that because I was aphid free all winter.
In the past during winter, I've dabbed a little alcohol on a q tip and swiped things like aphids and mealy bugs away with good results. I would test the plants tolerance to rubbing alcohol first but if you have patience, it's worth a try.
