Can you tell me if this is Hoya "Krimson Princess" or Hoya "Krimson Qyeen".
Thanks for any and all help....Deb
Hoya Krimson ????
Can someone help me please...or give me a general idea?
Thanks
I think you'd need to see flowers to really know.
To help differentiate between Queen and Princess, Hoya carnosa 'Krimson Princess' has the cream/white on the inside of the leaf, as in your image and Hoya carnosa 'Krimson Queen' has the cream/white on the outside edge of the leaf. Think of it as the Queen wears her ermine on her shoulders. I would lean toward Hoya carnosa 'Tricolor' for yours since the stems appear to have a red hue, but don't bank on it because they have developed numerous hybrids since I actively grew Hoyas.
There are several pages on FaceBook dedicated to Hoyas if you are active there. This is a great group. It is a closed group, so you will have to ask to join. Carol Noel is one of the administrators. https://www.facebook.com/groups/214525878704580/
Hope this helps. I don't come to Dave's often, so please forgive if you have any further questions and I don't get back to you.
Thanks for your replies....it has helped a lot.
