Should I prune flat leaf parsley...

..or should I just pull up the plant and start over? lt is bolting.

You can prune it fairly easily. Remove the blooms. Trim to prevent it from growing too tall. Periodically take the tops off the plant and cut about a 1/2 inch off or pluck the leaves.

Its usually only a 2 yr Plant anyway. 2nd year it sets seeds. First year is the year to use as culinary cuttings. After that it gets more bitter.


I do grow mine more for the butterflies and they share with me. Chuckl

I grow mine in a raised planter. I always get at least three seasons out of it as long as I keep it pruned.
