I have searched and searched and cannot find this bird. Maybe it's a female that looks totally different than the male......

Looks like a female Brown-headed Cowbird to me.

Not a favorite here, but they still will be coming back.

The males song and behaviour are enjoyable, so I guess he makes up for the females. :)

Yep, ditto to female Brown-headed Cowbird. I'm thinking it looks a bit odd in your pic because the camera's colour balance is off; here's an edit with more natural colours
