Is this going to be an ongoing post?

Gainesville, FL

My Mother and Father would not consider planting anything in the garden unless the signs were right. And they had a beautiful garden. Now I have a friend who plants, harvests, transplants, prunes, weeds etc. by the sign. I haven't seen any posting on this since last year. Is it going to continue? I would also like to see the other items based on the moon's activity.

PS: My friend also gives me perms. She will only do it in certain signs. She only cuts her hair when the signs are right.

PS: My cousin makes pickled corn (A lot of people haven't heard of this but it is delicious). She says if she does not do it when the signs are right it will never turn out right.

What's new since this nice post?

Interesting! I tend to do things when they need to be done and when I have time. Which signs should I be consulting for optimal results?

I have planted by the signs of the moon for years now, just as my grandparents did, and my garden is always twice as lush and productive as my neighbors' gardens that are planted whenever; I would not have believed it if I had not seen it for myself.

I guess if the moon's pull is strong enough to move the oceans, then its impact on gardens, and other things is, apparently, quite possible.

Porkpal, I get my "moon planting dates" from the Old Farmers Almanac every year, just as my grandparents did. I really should learn how to figure the dates for myself. I'll put that on my
to-do-list. ;-)

Interesting; I'll have to take a look.
