straight corkscrew rush?

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

Does anyone have any idea why my corkscrew rush is completely straight? When I first got it, some of the leaves were straight and some were spiraled. Now they are all completely straight!

I don't know why but the same happened to me. Didn't turn out to be a long-lasting plant, so I didn't replace.

Same here and when it died I didn't get more either.

hmmph! Well I'm glad to see I'm not alone. I'm not a novice gardener and I've tried everything, reading up on it, giving it bog conditions...and there are lots of pictures on Dave's of curly ones, so what's wrong with me? :)

Had mine in floating pot and it looked good for a while and then croaked. Fish didn't eat it for a surprise. Think maybe I'll try some again.

I'd like to get some of that chamelian (sp) plant. Says it grows right in the water but never find any in catalogues for ponds. Know where I could get some?

I tried the corkscrew plant also, twice. No luck. I thought it was neat looking.

I tried this plant too. I couldn't keep it either - I never replaced it.
