Iberis care

Jackson, MO(Zone 6b)

My Iberis got woody and leggy this past year. It's not a big plant. I am wondering if I should cut it back this spring? Before bloom or after?
The stems have no leaves on it for about 12 inches, and then, it has leaves.

Yes, you can cut it back every few years, Cut after blooming. The cuttings can be rooted, if desired.

Thanks.
My concern is: if I cut it back where all the woody, leafless stems are, I am wondering if the plant will rejuvenate from the roots.

i believe so.

Well, all I can do is try it and see if it comes back. I think it looked pretty ratty this past season.

It's certainly worth a try.
