I'm using neem oil on my roses, trying to get rid of black spot disease. My problem is, my neem oil does not appear to be mixing properly. I'm using the recipe on the neem oil bottle, which includes mixing it with soap. I warm up the neem oil in warm water then mix it with castile soap, at this point it appears to mix, but once I add more warm water it separates. Do I need to add more soap or is this normal? Any suggestions?
Thanks, Kevin
Neem oil problem
Maybe try mixing it with the water first - I use slightly warm water - and shake vigorously. Add the couple drops of soap, and shake hard again. Soap just helps it not stick together, *after* you've broken it into tiny droplets by lots of agitation. I shake again periodically until I've used up the solution.
