Is this scale? Can I treat it?
Help! Whats causing this in my curry leaf tree and sapodila?
first picture looks like tea scale. treat with a light garden oil.
Hi trackinsand,
Thanks for your reply. The curry leaf has been cured with neem oilspray while the sapodilla had to be sacrificed.
I'm now dealing with a lot of spider mites that first attacked my chilli and now they are all set to ruin my basil (I guess this never ends :-/). It's very humid now so I am unable to use any wet pesticide with neem oil spray.
no, you're right...it never ends but that is the gardener's life....
happy holidays.
ps. even though you may be humid, you can use plain water to mist the leaves for spider mites. no pesticide is needed (or wanted really) with edibles.
Happy new year trackinsand, yes the water does seem to be enough for the spider mites. Thanks!
same to you!
you're very welcome.
