Does anyone out there have any experience in dealing with this type infection in horses? If so, can you offer any ideas or suggestions for care? The horse IS under veterinary care and has been for 6mo or so for this issue. The hoof starts to look as though it is clearing up and then suddenly flares up all over again. (The attached photo is not recent; it's from Dec 2013.) Since this infection has persisted for so long, I've come here in hopes that someone out there might be able to offer new & helpful information on treating this disorder. We are desperate to try to save this beloved mare.
