Linux Ubuntu (embroidery sewing) machine help needed

Having weaned myself off XP, I now find I can't interface easily with my patterns, photos, etc. that I use with my Brother Ultimate Disney sewing/embroidery machine. Yes, I know it is old, and obsolete as it uses 3.5" floppy disks, but so am I. Are any kind, patient, DG Linux users also using an embroidery machine?
