Can anyone advise me what to do with this sprouting sweet potato???? Do I plant it??? I know the foliage is beautiful.
What can I do with this sprouting sweet potato
You can put it in a jar with it partially submerged in water and it will continue to leaf out and can be persay a houseplant for a while. Your sweet potato plant.
You could submerge it in a bucket of sand and moisten the sand now and again and it will continue sending up what can be little sweet potato sets (like in the picture but getting taller). When the sets (persay) get to be about a foot tall, you can break them off at the base of the potato and plant them in the ground on a little bit of a ridge about 18" apart and then keep them weeded and just maybe in 3 1/2 months you may have to dig your sweet potatoes.
You might want to Google that one.
