Found this guy in my front yard. He's huge and furry and mostly reddish brown. Black stripes at the ends. (He curled up in a ball when I moved the grass around him, and from this angle he looks like he has more stripes than he really does. His body was mostly reddish brown with thin black stripes at the end.)
At first I thought he was a woolly bear caterpillar, but then others pointed out that he doesn't have the thick black stripes at the end, only thin stripes. However, I can't find any other caterpillar that resembles it.
Any ideas? Is it a woolly bear with thin stripes, or something else? If something else, then what?
Need help identifying caterpillar
I think you might have a Yellow Wooly Bear...Their colors vary greatly.

Thanks, Coleup! I think it looked more like the one on the right. Is that the Yellow Woolly Bear?
