I was transplanting a Purple De Oro and I broke one of the fans. :( There were no roots attached to it and it just seemed to pop off from the remainder of the plant. I treated the broken fan with rooting hormone and potted it; do you think it will survive? I just got a bunch of these plants from a lady in my area at a super price (2$ per plant) and nearly cried when this fan broke. :(

A fan has to have part of the daylily crown to survive or at least a piece of root attached. Not likely it will make it but the main plant you broke it off of should produce more fans for you.
