Out of curiosity I came over to this board and one thread in particular caught my eye, Hydro Cukes in a Trash Can. We just have not gotten a successful crop of cucumbers planting them traditionally, so this got my attention.
We try growing our food organically and what a learning process! We've discovered all kinds of bugs we never knew existed. :) One reason why we strive for organic/natural growing is we do not want the chemicals on or in our food.
So we would rather not use Chem-Gro, if we give this a try next spring. I tried searching for non-chemical fertilizers for hydroponics and I found a lot of articles talking about them, but I am wondering what products are out there. Do any of you have any experience with this?
Thank you so much!
Non-Chemical Fertilizer?
This guy on youtube does organic gardening. Check him out.

You might want to look into aquaponics, as it is a less chemical fertilizer dependent system and can work quite well.
It's quite expensive to get organically certified chemical fertilizers, though I know they exist.
A belated thank you for your replies.
There is an aquaponic green house not far from us, so we're a little familiar with it. I am not sure we'd want the cost of starting that up just for family gardening. They have amazing tomatoes, though.
I'll keep researching and maybe I'll come up with something.
A lot of hydro gardeners use compost.
