First time making and canning pickles - help please!

Soon I will be swimming in pickling cucumbers from my garden, so I'm going to try my hand at making all kinds of pickles this year! My question for you all is, do any of you have a SWEET pickle recipe that tastes like or is similar to Vlasic's sweet pickles??? I'll take all the info, wisdom, and favorite recipes you all care to share!! :-)
I sure appreciate your help! It's just foolish to learn how to do this the hard way and waste cucumbers! ;)
