CLOSED: Historic Iris for Shipping...

Belton, TX

The Iris are Historic, but I do not have a name for them. They were brought from VA between 1820s and 1888 via wagon train...and my family has grown them since here in Central Texas. They are extremely drought-tolerant, long-blooming and have a lovely fragrance. They are considered a medium-sized iris and each of the rhizomes should bloom next spring. In our area, they begin blooming in mid to late February and continue through April depending upon the weather. I planted them laterally to retain soil and mulch while other plants were able to become establish...now it is time to divide them.

I will dig, trim and pack 20+ rhizomes into a medium size priority box for shipping. Reimbursement is through PayPal.

DM if interested. Thanks.
