Oh well, at least Nigella isn't infamous for invading huge swaths of wilderness.

The fleabane is very attractive. If fleabanes were given a fancy name and sold in garden centers, I bet people would buy them. I have a small pot of fleabane currently going to seed on my patio. I guess I'd better go clip those seed heads so I can decide whether they go next year!

The Nigella self sows and it does often under or with cover from most other plants ,, It does not "crowd out " other plants like most invasives.
Fleabane Erigeron Philadelphicus is perennial (this one) the blue is nice also , (don't have that one ,
This and some Packera obvata (golden ragwort ) are host plants for Nothern Metalmark Butterflies , I have seen three Metalmarks in ten years , rare they are now , So the plants like these stay .
