I am unfamiliar with this plant. I told a friend I would try to find out what it is so, of course I turned to the folks here on Dave's Garden to come to the rescue.

Grows wild here and is blooming profusely in the forest preserves right now.

I would think so. Here's a picture of a large patch of them in both blue and white phases.
Oh wow, that's pretty. Always feel like the folks up north deserve every pretty blossom they get after surviving the cold winter! My daughter lives in Connecticut and always sends me pics of the first flowers - a reason to celebrate!
