My Gardenia #1 is loaded with blooms, and many buds to come after that. My second gardenia is more vertical, blooms later, and has star shaped flowers.
I used to love going to the Trader Vic's restaurants with my husband and getting the scorpion cocktail. It always came with a fresh gardenia floating on the top, and usually in a bowl for two. The secret ingredient is oregat syrup and I always have some on hand for gardenia season!

How cool! I just looked up th scorpion on Trader Vic's website. It sounds tre' delicious.

We have 8 and the buds are just beginning to show. They were trimmed back last year maybe thats why they are so late.
