Bradford Pear Confirmation

I'm so rusty after 6 months of no leaves, I gotta be sure when I see even everyday trees. lol.

Is this the ubiquitous Bradford Pear? I wonder what caterpillars are in the sack? Gypsy Moths maybe?

Nope.

That's a cherry, probably Prunus serotina. Note the flower spike ready to open.

Those are Eastern Tent Caterpillars - an unusually reliable ID feature on this species.
