The Spiky Tree With Leaves
My guess is some sort of plum.
Ask anyone who deals with invasive species in the east/northeastern US - I still think it is one of the Rhamnus/Frangula devils...

Here's the spiky look for Rhamnus Cathartica. I think that's what it is. I'll look for the dark blue berries later this summer.
