May Birthday card swap!

Happy Birthday!!!

The DG birthday card club is a way to ensure a special day.

We welcome new members to the birthday thread. Our delightful obligation is to send a card to each birthday club member when his/her birthday occurs.

It's best to receive a pile of cards on or before your birthday so we do our best to send each card in a timely manner. This makes the card more meaningful to the recipient and to the sender. We don't have to send expensive or elaborate cards. We can make one or pick up one at nearly any store these days, or buy a whole box of cards at once and be prepared for the whole year!

It's a wonderful experience to receive cards in the mail.

LK, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I do hope you are getting to do something special today! I will be getting your card mailed shortly. Planned to mail it last weekend, but last weekend was a sad weekend...
We said goodbye to my retired guide dog last Sunday. She was recently diagnosed with lymphoma. Her family had to make that difficult decision to say goodbye to her as she was no longer comfortable, and the problems she had weren't going to get better. They invited us to go over to say our final goodbyes, too. And, we got to dogsit her one last time a couple of weeks ago just after her diagnosis as they had a trip already planned. very thankful we were available to help. My current guide dog was so very gentle with her for her last visit. I think he must have known that she wasn't feeling well. She turned fifteen years old on May 12.
