Yellow leaves with green veins

Grapevine, TX(Zone 8a)

I am having a problem with certain shrubs in my back yard having yellow leaves with green veins. In particular, the shrubs that are doing this are itea (sweet spire), common and vernal witch hazel, and oak leaf hydrangea. It seems to have gotten quite a bit worse over the past two years or so. I have added iron supplements to the soil but that didn't help. Any ideas about what I might try next?

It could be the ph of the soil, this is a factor on the ability of a plant to take up the iron. In this case, you may use a bit of agricultural sulphur to allow the plant to absorb the iron.

I do "sweeten" my soil ( which is incline to be acid, plenty of rain on my area), by using the ashes from my wood heater on my yard (garden, lawn and orchard).
