Has anyone grown Dioscorea mexicana in semihydroponic culture?
I would like to but want to research it first. I've had no luck growing Dioscorea mexicana in regular pot culture so I wanted to know my options.
I have grown Dioscorea elephantipes in semihydroponic culture now going on my third year and it is easy. The plants are healthy and thriving.

I have had the same luck with D. elephantipes in s/h but no experience with D. mexicans either. I would say give it a try!
