This looked like a Norway Spruce from afar but it didn't add up once I got closer. The cone I photographed wasn't taken from the tree itself, it was at the base, and there were several others, but it might not be a match with so many other trees around.
Another Conifer ID
Norway Spruce, flanked by two Eastern White Pines. The cone in pic #1 is an aborted immature EWP cone.
Resin
Excellent! I didn't think the cone was a match to that tree, but it didn't match the EWPs around it. Your explanation makes perfect sense Resin, thanks.
