great photos.
Thanks, irisMA. It was sort of like shooting fish in a barrel. I was in a photo blind with a drip and the birdies just came in for a drink and their photo ops. Seems almost like cheating, but I'll take what I can get. ^_^
That is the best way & often the best way to observe as well.

That's it! Hilarious. How such a tiny bird can spit out such a beakful is amazing.
60 Yellow-rumped (Myrtle) Warbler
That spoonbill has some serious bling!
It does, doesn't it! It's the same one as I saw last year: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=9537039 (from the 2013 yearlist thread). It was ringed as a chick at Schiermonnikoog, Oosterkwelder, Netherlands, on 25 June 2009, and has visited Northumberland every summer for the last 4 years now, and has also been seen in Spain in the winter.

Wow. That is so cool!
I'm glad that it likes Northumberland. ☺

April should have been a good month, but I had a tight schedule and had to cancel my one bird-watching day due to wind.

63- Great White Egret

27 sharp shinned hawk
