Frangipani/Plumeria snapped!

Hi,

There was a crazy storm last night and unfortunately a large lower branch of my plumeria/frangipani snapped. Now there is a large wound in the main trunk. Will the tree be fine or is there nothing that can be done to save it?

So far I've only cut the the leaves/small fronds off the broken branch to reduce the weight.

If anyone has any suggestions that would be great!
