Has anyone used this?

I was given a package of these tabs and the info says for "up to 1000 gallons". My pond is a tiny preformed one holding only 125 gallons. The tabs cannot be cut, I tried, do you think I can add a whole one to the pond?

The water is clear but there is way too much gunk on the bottom and there is lots of algae on the sides of the pond, the plant stems and the pre-filter material too.

Does the package say what is in the tablet? Do you have fish?

I read the information on the link and it states the tablets are all natural.

Yes, there are a half dozen 6" goldfish in there.

"all natural bacteria compressed in a salt based tablet" is all the package says. (What kind of bacteria would not be natural, LOL)

I was thinking of dissolving the tablet in water and only putting half or less in in the pond. It says it dissolves in 6 to 8 hours so that might take a while.

I was thinking about disolving the tablet in water and adding only part of it too! Great minds!

:-), I'll let you know how it works out.

No harm at all in using a whole one. Beneficial bacteria is one of those things that's "the more the merrier!"

Good to know. Thanks
