This will be my last month posting if no one is watching these threads. I am quite busy in the garden these days and I don't go online every day.

I just took over for Cristina because she had a family situation that is requiring her attention right now. She has mentioned that she has little time to go online right now.

Please let me know by posting any interest in this topic...Gardening by the Moon.

Thank you all!

Oh please don't stop! I read them every day to see what to plant or not. I really appreciate the time you have taken to post this information. You are doing a great job! I will post even if it is just to say Hi, so you know someone is watching! Thanks for taking over this thread.

Sierra Foothills, CA(Zone 8a)

Thank you, Robin and Nanny23 for your input. Cristina has been doing this so long, and I was not thinking of taking over...but she is working on some family matters that requires her attention.

I also miss Darius, as she checked in on this thread often, but now she is no longer with us.

I hope that I can keep up with doing this as I do not go online every day now. This is a busy time for me...with weeds, watering and planting.

I have been using this calendar, as I need all the help I can get. I lose many seedlings in the course of starting in the winter...both indoors and outside.

Robin ~ How did that system work for you? (Wintersowing in those plastic totes....)

The jury's still out on the tote/bin method Evelyn, just a very few has germinated as of yet...still hoping for WS success!

Waiting for a good time to plant corn...

Sierra Foothills, CA(Zone 8a)

Weather permitting, today would be a good day for planting corn.

If it is too cold outside, you could soak the seeds in warm water for a few hours, then sow them in cell packs, keeping them inside until there is no chance of frost. Then you will have a head start on planting them outside.

(Robin) Blissfield, MI(Zone 6a)

Thanks sweetie!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

a good day for planting tomatoes?

Sierra Foothills, CA(Zone 8a)

Yes, if the weather permits...otherwise, pot up a size larger.

Mount Sterling, KY(Zone 6b)

Thanks Evelyn! I think I will plant some tomatoes!

Magnolia, TX(Zone 9a)

We watch Ev! Others are sowing too, sigh. Wish I was I think...

Sierra Foothills, CA(Zone 8a)

Kitt ~ I had very little time for gardening when I was working. Everything was always a mess. Now that I am retired, I am old!! Yes, it is a challenge, but for me, it is worth it. When do you retire...or are you able to do that?

OK, I had better get busy and get everyone up to date....(even me, LOL!!)

My Aries. Confused- planting seeds or planting sets type planting for basils and such plants make any difference?

Sierra Foothills, CA(Zone 8a)

I don't think so. I follow the calendar whether I am planting a plant, potting up or sowing seeds.

Sometimes I don't have the time to plant in the specified time, so in that case, I follow what not to plant and plant everything else.

Magnolia, TX(Zone 9a)

I like that
