I have an area in front of my new shed that is on a a slope.
My husband added dirt , rocks and old concrete to help support the shed. Now I want to plant something there to help hide the rocks and concrete.
But I don't want it to be invasive and over take the shed like the English Ivy that I have think I got killed out there. It is in a semi shade area of trees. So it gets filtered sun, then full afternoon sun. I was thinking creeping phlox, or this Sedium ground cover I have.With maybe a few shrubs up close. The size is about 6 x 14 with stone steps down the center.
What are your suggestions?
What to plant in a sloped rock bed.?
Creeping phlox would be nice as long as it's well drained.
Epimedium x versicolor cultivars would do well in that situation.
Sulphureum is the most common one, but I like the pinker ones like Cherry Tart (#1).
Veronica peduncularis 'Georgia Blue' would look great in a sunny rock garden (#2).
Creeping thyme also would do well (#3).
I also like golden oregano (origanum vulgare aureum). Can't find a picture.
Both thyme & oregano require good drainage, but are tough and tolerate full blazing sun.
Campanula Blue Waterfall looks great in a sunny rock garden.
Geraneums also might work; I like the smaller cut-leaf sanguineum (#4),
but just my preference.
I like iberis also, for it's early clean white bloom (#5).
I'm sure others will have lots of other suggestions.

Wee, beautiful pics. I don't have but two of the above mentioned. I love Iberis--so pristine and blooms early and for a long time.
Is the oregano an ornamental one or one to use in cooking?

The oregano is plant a friend of mine put in. It's purely ornamental, and quite pretty!

My apologies: oregano vulgare 'Aureum'. And I'm wrong - it can be culinary.
