I am in process of moving from zone 4 WI to the Phoenix area, by the White Tank Mnts, and I have about 25 Amaryllis bulbs that I start bring out around November to have flowers all winter long. My question is how do I deal with these in my new home, can they be directly planted in the yard or should hey stay as potted plants? I am a master gardener in WI but am such a novice in desert gardening.
Thanks for your help,
Dee
Amaryllis bulbs
You can plant them out. They do well here, given the right care.
Yes, they can go in the garden, but you need to be sure they are not in direct sunlight as the big leaves will burn.
Thank you ladies. That is exactly what I wanted to hear!
