These were all over the place at Sachuest in Newport. It might be a longshot to ID them, but I thought I'd give it a try. My guess is some type of Sumac..

A Winter ID Challenge
I'm thinking an oak of some sort in the red oak group. Looks like it is getting cut back regularly by exposure to severe wind and/or salt spray.
