Most of the Lurie Garden located within Millenium Park in Chicago is a naturalistic format of tough, easy to grow perennials for sunny locations. Most of them are native forbs and grasses of the Illinois prairie and some are European and/or west Asian. The first two photos are long shots I took in August 2013. The third is a shot after the severe drought of 2012 in August showing purple blooming Russian-Sage. The forth is the canal with flowing water. The fifth shows a good mass of Lavender Hyssop, Agastache foenticulum in front. The Lurie Garden has some formal spot with sheared hedges.

How nice for them to have that beautiful green space. I would love walking there.
