That's an aloe called "Blizzard" I found it at the HD at Baseline & Priest. It was the only one. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/214718

I love the photo of your wheelbarrow garden. I want to grow succulents but haven't had much success yet. Do you have them in the direct sun during the summer? Mine seemed to want shade - we have similar weather in summer to you, just not quite as intense - we get days on end of high 90s to as much as 105, with very low humidity. Also, we get cold in the winter - very cold this year, down to 0 - 10F. Any advice? Garage for the winter which stays about 40 - 50F?

Mine gets afternoon sun and stays out year-round. On the few occassions that we've had freeze warnings, I covered the whole thing with frost cloth.

I don't recommend afternoon sun in the summer for most of these succulents, at least in Phoenix. I have mine in an eastern exposure. Also, the cold you get where you are would probably not be good for them--definitely in the garage when it is really cold like 0-10F.
