Hello brug growers. This year I have mixed brug seeds, open pollinated, from Onalee and am excited to grow them to see what I end up with. I have a potted brug so it will be interesting to grow them from seed.
Are there any tips/tricks, good practices etc to starting them? I was planning to start on them this week. And I read they can take a while.
Any advice is appreciated
Starting Seeds
Soak the seed in warm water for 24 hours then plant them no deeper than seed is thick keep moist not wet and they should come along quick if they are old seed takes quite a bit longer
Thanks!
I put the seeds in the warm water this afternoon, so tomorrow I'll have the containers ready with soil to plant them.
I didn't expect another day in the 50s after all this warm weather, but I'll just just pull them inside.
Some of the seeds were dark and large, but some were very light brown - is this a good/bad thing?
