Tennessee Spinning Gourds

I bought a few seeds last year. I ended up with over 300 gourds. They are prolific.

I tried to spin them, but so far no luck.

Have you tried again? I don't remember if they had to dry before they would spin. I hold them by the neck, with the fat part up, and give them a good twist.
Some of them kept faint stripes when they dried, others had interesting mold spots in circles and spirals.

The easiest way for me to spin them is to hold them like you are going to snap your fingers. Yes, you spin them by their neck. Kids take on the challenge of spinning and can probably get them spinning for you.

DEM, all the seeds came up and I have two good clumps growing.
