Since I did not find this tree, Cercis Canadensis var Mexicana for my B-day, I put my name on the list at Baker's and finally I went yesterday and got it. It is bare root in a five gallon container. It is tall enough to be in a 5 gallon pot but I did not have a chance to look at its roots.
Just wanted to let you know that Baker's still has some in case somebody is interested. It was $23.95.
