I have just planted $200 of bulbs in a new planting area. What is best to cover the area with now for either mulch, weed control or stabilization? Bark? Peat?

Cover after planting bulbs
I prefer to use hardwood mulch in our gardens. A two inch layer does well to prevent weeds.
