Dear Friends,
Bjorn and Sven, my two garden gnomes from IKEA, join me in wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy New Year. Also, Happy Hannukah to those whose holiday it is.
I just made their hats and scarves today after I planted the paperwhite bulbs you seen behind them. I am thankful for all my friends here at Dave's Garden who share their gardening pictures, experience and conversation with me all year.

Here's the latest picture of Bjorn and Sven. I finished their hats today with the pompoms. I think they look quite smart and seasonal!

Ah, winter....what else is there to do?
I have a ceramic one, Fairbanks, the Gnome, but I don't usually dress him up because he has facial features and clothing features painted under the glaze.
Bjorn and Sven, however, are pretty solemn looking so I thought they needed to be spruced up. They got their names because I bought them years ago at IKEA.
